International Young Composers Academy in Ticino

The International Young Composers Academy in Ticino aims to foster close collaboration between composers, conductors, performers, and ensembles.

Program Description

• World premieres of participants’ works performed by Ensemble Intercontemporain
• Individual lessons with faculty composers and the faculty conductor
• Masterclasses with the ensemble in residence
• Lectures and seminars led by faculty and guest composers
• Public presentations and showcases of participants’ works
  

Selected participants will compose new works to be premiered in Ticino.

Each participant will benefit from dedicated, coached rehearsals as well as individual lessons. Faculty composers will give lectures, and all participants will have the opportunity to present their work publicly.

In addition, a roster of internationally renowned composers will contribute to the Academy.
